Child Custody and Access
A typical child custody evaluation involves extensively interviewing the children, both parents individually, and each parent in the children's presence. Additionally, extensive collateral documents such as court pleadings and motions, school and medical records are also reviewed and analyzed. We contact a number of collateral sources such as teachers, therapists, police agencies, etc. Finally, we administer multiple objective psychological tests to assist in the assessment. As forensic psychologists, we are experts in psycholegal matters and are obligated to recommend what is best for the children, regardless of who requests the evaluation.
